To pair, I pushed on the scroll wheel and the right button at the same time until the small red LED light blinks rapidly. Then in Windows 10 operating system settings, I added a Bluetooth device. I selected Amazon BLE mouse and then chose connect.
When not used for a while the mouse appears to go into sleep mode which is probably to preserve battery power, and is reawakened when the scroll wheel is pressed. Instructions for changing mouse sensitivity and information about low-battery alarm and powering off are contained in the included guide.
The mouse measures 2 1/4 by 4 1/2 inches and thickness ranges from 1 inch to 1 1/2 inches. It is powered by a single AA battery (two are included). The battery compartment is on the back of the unit and requires no tools to open. Good basic Bluetooth mouse.
